Muzzles

It can be a hugely beneficial experience for both owner and dog to train them to wear a muzzle. Muzzles can be used for many reasons; safety (if your dog has possible shown aggression towards other dogs or people in the past a muzzle will make sure no harm is caused), being at the vet can be a stressful time for a dog so a muzzle can stop the dog reacting badly with biting etc. and also it will help with them scavenging while out for walks and picking up something nasty! At Christies Direct we understand that a muzzle should be comfortable for the dog and allow for panting and ability to drink water. Appropriate time should be taken when trying to get your dog to adapt to the muzzle, like most things in training, patience is key!
