I run my own grooming business and needless to say, have purchased a lot of tools and equipment, good and bad. I had the aescalup exacta and accurata. Both of those are not nearly as good. The andis d4d is brilliant for Cockers pads and similar dogs that have thick pad hair. The blades are robust enough to last, unlike the aescalup ones, which wore out within the time of several dogs. The other trimmer I recommend is the Wahl mini Bravia. Excellent longevity of blades too.

This cordless trimmer will surprise you with its cutting power and versatility. For the price, the quality is awsome. It comes with a selection of cutting blades, the units are easy to remove and clean. As long as it is kept suitably oiled, the power lasts a long time before needing a charge. Alternatively it can be left on the charger when not in use and this does not damage the battery. Look after it and you will have a valuable piece of equipment for a very long time.

This is an amazing trimmer, it’s better than I thought it would be. I wish the comb would also come in 19mm for a longer hair cut too, otherwise I am very happy with it.

I don't like using scissors on feet to clean inside pads. I find if the wriggle you can catch them. But with these it's easy.

Bought this to keep my c**ker spaniel tidy between haircuts as the ears get very long on the inside and make her hot - found them excellent for this and fairly quiet too

I run a dog grooming business and can honestly say these are the worst trimmers I have ever owned (promptly sent back to Christies after a few days of trying to work with them). Even when fully charged they don't have enough power to get through thick pad hair - they start to lose power and almost cut out if they have any pressure to get through! My advice is to spend a bit more money and get something decent. Moser Arco trimmers are the best I've tried! Don't waste your money on these!

I have tried this trimmer on the feet and sanitary area of poodles and spaniels. It completely failed to remove any hair at all. Unfortunately I disposed of the packaging right after charging. I emailed Christies but never did get a response. I have spent a fair amount of money in the last year on grooming products and this is the first item I have bought that has failed to do what would be expected. It has put me off Andis. Rather wish I spent that much more and bought the Groom Prossional PX, as I have used it before and was impressed.

Very disappointed with the T Bar blade, does not achieve a tight finish to edges and has no adjustment to improve the settings. In speaking to other Barbers who have used this product I am not alone in this opinion, and hope this review will prove useful to anyone looking for a cordless T Bar edging clipper - clearly there is a gap in the market for an effective cordless T Bar clipper ?

Does this blade heat up or is it the kind that stays cool? and can one get that blade that stays cool for it? Ceramic edge?
