Direct professionally service clippers and trimmers. There is
no set time to service a machine but we do advise servicing at
least once a year to ensure you are getting the best from your
machine.
Send your clipper for servicing immediately if
- there
is a smell of burning
- you
have hit the re-set button and the clipper is still not working
- the
clipper motor is running but the blade is not moving, you will
need a new drive block.
- the
clipper has surges of power and then it cuts off - the cable
may need to be replaced.
There
are several reasons clippers/trimmers need to be serviced;
- The
blades may be blunt. This can happen through normal daily wear
and tear. Alternatively you may buy a clipper and the blade
may not have been sharpened properly. The blades are machine
made and they may not have been sharpened to standard.
- The
cable has been cut or damaged stopping any power getting to
the motor.
- The
machine is getting old and needs to be serviced to get the best
from your machine.
- The
manufacturer of the machine has a proven record of poor top
moderate quality of clipper/trimmer and are not as reliable.
Please
note government legislation requires an electrical test to be
conducted on machines over 1 year old. This will be completed
at the time of serving/repair.
