Every other tooth on the skip tooth blade is shorter than normal in order to feed more hair to the cutter; which makes it ideal for cutting through thicker coats or removing matted hair. Full toothed blades are used to give a much neater finishing cut & will blend the long and short areas together to give a more complete finish. Skip tooth blades are only available in blades 3, 4, 5 and 7.
